COMMITTED CHOCOLATE MAKERS
Jean-Paul Hévin joined Chocolatiers Engagés in 2020: a network of actors committed to quality chocolate with demanding and responsible values. Les Chocolatiers Engagés work to establish a sustainable and quality chocolate sector by placing the producer at the heart of the creation and transformation process. They are deploying their actions in Cameroon, with the plan to extend to other countries in the equatorial zone.
JEAN-PAUL HÉVIN’S APPROACH ALONGSIDE COMMITTED CHOCOLATE MAKERS
Being a chocolatier and pastry chef today is no longer just about creating and making. It is essential to engage in a CSR* approach and take into consideration societal and environmental concerns. Jean-Paul Hévin inaugurated the post-harvest processing center on September 7, 2023, which he financed in the form of a donation to the cooperative. Located in Nkolossang, a town near Yaounde in Cameroon, in a region near cocoa plantations, it will allow young people to relaunch the activity while respecting agroforestry and improve the lives of families.
